Deploy a static site without an account
Last updated: 2026-10-09
Run npx flypod ./dist in the folder that holds your site. flypod uploads the files as they are and prints a live URL. There is no account to create, no project to set up and no config file to write.
npx flypod ./dist What you get
- A public HTTPS address at
<site-id>.flypod.page. flypod picks the id. - Your files, served as they are. HTML, CSS, browser JavaScript, images, and markdown, which flypod renders into pages.
- A version.
flypod updateships a new one to the same address andflypod rollbackbrings the last one back.
It works on any folder
Point it at a build output, a folder of plain HTML, or a single file. With no argument,
npx flypod looks for the first of dist, build,
out, .output/public, .vercel/output/static,
public or _site that contains an index.html.
No terminal at hand? Drop the folder on the flypod.dev home page and the same thing happens in the browser.
How long it lasts
A site deployed without an account is temporary: it expires 14 days after it is created.
To keep it, run flypod login. Signing in is free, and it keeps every site that
machine has deployed, so you can deploy first and decide later.
What it does not do
flypod serves static files only. There is no server code, no database, no build step on the server, and no custom domain. A deploy can be up to 50 MB zipped, 100 MB unpacked and 5,000 files. The full list is on the limits page.
From a script or a coding agent
Add --json and the result is one line of JSON on stdout, with the URL in it.
To let a coding agent deploy on its own, run npx flypod install skill once in
the repo; the guide is
Deploy from an AI agent.
