Share an HTML file as a link

Last updated: 2026-11-02

Run npx flypod index.html and flypod prints a public link to that page. No account, no upload form and no settings. It works the same for a page you wrote and a report or prototype an AI generated.

npx flypod index.html

Where the page opens

A file named index.html opens at the site's address. A file with another name is served under that name, such as /report.html, and the deploy warns that nothing is at the root. Rename it to index.html if you want the bare link to open it.

More than one file

Styles, scripts and images inside the HTML file work as they are. When the page loads separate files, put them in a folder with it and deploy the folder: npx flypod ./my-page.

From an AI agent

An agent adds --json and gets the link back as one line of JSON. To keep the page, it runs flypod login --json and gives you a link to confirm; its next flypod command finishes signing in. See hosting for AI agents.

How long it lasts

Without an account the link works for 14 days. Signing in is free and keeps every page that computer has deployed. Every flypod site is public to anyone with the link, so do not deploy anything private. While a site is anonymous it is marked noindex. The full list is on the limits page.

Questions

How do I turn an HTML file into a link?

Run npx flypod page.html. flypod uploads that one file and prints a public URL. No account or sign-up is needed.

Where does the page open?

Name the file index.html and it opens at the site's address. A file with any other name is served under its own name, such as /page.html, and the receipt warns that nothing is at the root.

Can the page have CSS, scripts or images?

Yes, inline in the file. For separate files, put them in a folder with the page and deploy the folder: npx flypod ./my-page.

How long does the link last?

14 days without an account. Run flypod login, free, to keep it until you delete it.

Can I change the page after sharing the link?

Yes. Deploy again from the same folder and the same link shows the new version.
