Cursor
Publish a website from Cursor and get a public link
Last updated: 2026-11-02
In Cursor's chat, ask: "Put this online with npx flypod and give me the link." The agent runs flypod in your project, uploads the built files and replies with a public URL. You do not need an account, a hosting provider or a config file.
npx flypod ./dist What the agent does
- It finds the site. With no folder named, flypod looks for a build folder with an
index.html, such asdist, buildorout. A folder of plain HTML pages works as it is. - It uploads and checks. The answer lists warnings for problems a visitor would hit, such as no page at the root, each with the fix to make, so the agent can fix them before you share the link.
- It replies with the URL. A public HTTPS address at
<site-id>.flypod.page.
Changes go to the same link
Ask Cursor for a change and to deploy again. The next flypod in that folder ships a new version to the same address, so the link you already sent shows the new version. flypod rollback undoes the last one.
Keep the site
A site deployed without an account lasts 14 days. To keep it, ask the agent to sign you in. It runs flypod login --json and gives you a link. Confirm in your browser and the agent's next flypod command keeps every site you made on that computer. Signing in is free.
Make Cursor use flypod every time
Run npx flypod install skill once in the project. It writes an Agent Skill to .agents/skills/flypod/, which Cursor reads, so a later "give me a link to this" goes straight to flypod. You can also add flypod as an MCP server in .cursor/mcp.json: {"mcpServers":{"flypod":{"url":"https://flypod.dev/mcp"}}}.
What it does not do
flypod hosts static sites: HTML, CSS, browser JavaScript, images and markdown. An app that needs a server, a database or an API key on the server will not run there. A deploy can be up to 10 MB and 200 files. The full list is on the limits page.
Questions
How do I get a public link to a site I built in Cursor?
Ask Cursor's agent to deploy the folder with npx flypod. It runs the command and gives you a live URL. You do not need an account first.
Is the link public?
Yes. Anyone with the URL can open the site. While it is anonymous it is marked noindex, so search engines leave it out.
How long does the link work?
14 days if you have not signed in. Sign in once, free, and every site that machine deployed is kept until you delete it.
Can Cursor update the site after I ask for changes?
Yes. Each later deploy from the same folder ships a new version to the same URL, so the link you already shared shows the new version.
Do I need to install anything?
No. npx runs flypod without installing it. To make Cursor use flypod every time, run npx flypod install skill once in the project.
