Terms of Service

flypod is a free hobby project run by an individual. By using this service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. flypod comes with no guarantees. Treat every deploy as throwaway.

1. The service

flypod accepts files you upload and serves them at a public URL. The service is provided as-is and as-available, with no service-level agreement and no warranty. It may slow down, return errors, lose data, change without notice, or shut down entirely at any time. There is no expectation of uptime or continuity.

2. Your content

You are solely and entirely responsible for everything you upload and for every consequence that follows from it. By uploading you confirm that:

• You own the content or have all the rights needed to publish and distribute it.
• The content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, privacy, publicity, or other right.
• The content is not illegal, defamatory, obscene, threatening, harassing, hateful, or otherwise harmful.
• The content does not contain malware, viruses, exploits, miners, or anything that could damage or compromise other systems or users.
• You will not use the service to host phishing, scams, fraud, impersonation, spam, or anything intended to deceive or trick visitors.
• You will not use the service to attack, abuse, overwhelm, or evade rate limits or other technical controls.
• You will not use the service for cryptocurrency mining, ad networks, tracking pixels, or anything that primarily extracts value from visitors.
• You will comply with all laws that apply to you and to the people visiting your deployed site.

The operator may remove, disable, or refuse any content at any time, for any reason, without notice, and may block IP addresses or domains for repeated abuse.

3. Ownership and license

You keep ownership of your content. By uploading, you grant the operator a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, transmit, cache, and publicly serve your content for the purpose of operating the service. This license ends when the content is deleted from the service.

4. Ephemeral by design

Anonymous deploys expire and are deleted automatically (currently 14 days from creation). The operator may delete any site sooner, with no notice and no obligation to preserve or recover the content. Treat every deploy as throwaway. If you cannot afford to lose it, do not upload it here.

5. No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including (but not limited to) warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, security, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment. There is no representation or guarantee that:

• The service will be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
• Uploaded content will be preserved, backed up, recoverable, or kept private.
• Defects will be fixed or improvements made.
• The service or any deployed site will be free of viruses, malicious code, or other harmful components.
• Any result obtained from using the service will be accurate or reliable.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service, including direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, and including but not limited to:

• Loss, corruption, leak, or deletion of your data or any data you uploaded.
• Loss of revenue, profits, business, goodwill, or anticipated savings.
• Damage to your computer, device, or other property.
• Service interruption, downtime, performance issues, or shutdown.
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data.
• Errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies in any content served.
• Harm caused by anything a third party uploads or does on the service.

You use the service entirely at your own risk.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operator (and anyone helping run the service) from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to: the content you upload, your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or any third-party right.

8. Abuse reports

Suspected abuse can be reported to the operator. Reports are reviewed at the operator's discretion and on no particular timeline.

9. Termination

The operator may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the service, and may delete any of your content, at any time, for any reason, without notice and without liability. You may stop using the service at any time.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may change at any time. The current version always lives at flypod.dev/terms. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the new terms.

11. Severability and entire agreement

If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms are the entire agreement between you and the operator regarding the hosted service and supersede any prior agreement on the same subject.
